A blog unfinished... is finished.

I just realized that we never finished this blog.  I guess we got so caught up with finally the realization that our destination was near.  It was (surprisingly) a year ago today that we were cycling across South Dakota.  After leaving Mitchell, Oregon (our last post) Lindy and I bicycled on under clear, warm Oregon skies staying in the towns of Prineville, Sisters, and Blue River.  We left Sisters on a beautiful cool morning to summit our final "hill" at McKenzie Pass.  Not sure what went right, perhaps the exhilaration of the nearness to Eugene, but I told Linda "I felt like racing someone".  We rolled over the pass hand-in-hand to the cheers of the tourists at the top!  That was nice.  Highway 242 was made for cyclists.  The decent down to Highway 126 along the McKenzie River was in an overused word "awesome"!   The day after we entered Eugene we awoke at the motel and looked at each other.  The unspoken words between us were "now what"?  We'll figure that out.
